Who We Are

Extension Community Development Co-operative (ECDC) is a not-for-profit worker-owned consulting business incorporated in June, 1991. ECDC members and associates have extensive experience in working with community-based organizations to facilitate cooperative and coordinated approaches to social and economic development.

The charter members of the Co-op are former Memorial University Extension Service employees with strong backgrounds in community development, adult education theory and practice. As necessary, the Co-op calls upon other expertise to complement the knowlege, skills, and resources of its members, forming partnerships and linkages to undertake particular projects.
